I just started strength training. How many different exercises should you do for each muscle group (chest, back, etc) during a strength training session?

“I suffer from chronic low back pain and two months ago I was barley able to bend over---let alone do squat, lunge and lunges! Chris’s focus on total body movement has given me a more positive outlook on what I am capable of and the understanding of how to do it myself.”

- Cindy on Chris’s training

"I used to cycle, but I was afraid it would cause too much havoc on my bad knees. With Nicole as my instructor, Ive been able to work up a sweat without breaking my back. Her classes are fun and educational (Im currently learning to cardio kickbox) and work on my posture and my weight at the same time.”

- Sonja after a strenuous workout!

"I used to eat 1 meal per day and the challenge for me has been learning to eat more frequently. Ive never eaten so much in my life, but Ive lost over 7 lbs!"

-   Marilyn after two weeks of Jenny Craig

"Eating more frequently and the variety of food helps to keep me from cheating on my diet. This program has helped me to learn how to eat on a schedule that works for my lifestyle without feeling overwhelmed."

-   Sonja after 10lbs of steady weightloss

Yoga Works is a school for the rest of your life, a resource center and a community. The Yoga Works program of classes and workshops combines time-honored Eastern practices with a foundation of strong Western medical ideas, bringing modern science to an ancient practice.Yoga Works’ teaching draws from three traditional lineages of yoga: Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga. By combining the strengths of each, we have created a system that safely offers students greater, longer-lasting benefits.

"I had never done yoga and my instructors and advisor Molly have given me to kind of personal attention I need to develop a routine that works for me. The relaxation and yoga class has helped me to move better, relax and feel better about carrying my weight."

“As a 60 year old woman, I used to feel like my options are limited at this point in my life, but Tara has taught me you are only as old as you feel! With Tara ’s help, I was able to reedit my resume and find a better job, find a finance counselor to get my money together, and set goals for my weightloss. My next plan is to pay off my mortgage, which I can finally hope to do by setting small steps towards a larger goal. Thanks. Tara!"

- Marilyn on her experience with her coach.
